HOW DO I TAKE THE TEST

Step 1: How do I take the screening test on this site?
When you are ready to start, click “Start the Test”
You will be asked to fill in information about your child and yourself.
Privacy -we will not share your name, your child’s name, or any other personal identifying information with anyone but you (or your child’s health provider, if that’s how you were referred to this site.

Step 2: Answer the Questions
You will be asked 10 questions about your child.
The PEDS questions ask you to think and write about how your child is learning, developing, and behaving.
If your child is 18 months through 4 years of age, you may also take the M-CHAT test (Modified Checklist for Autism in Toddlers). The M-CHAT test looks specifically for autism spectrum disorders (ASD).

Step 3: Results
Once you have completed the questions and submitted them into the system you will be given a print-out of your results. The results page will tell you how your child performed, if your child is at risk for a developmental or behavioral delay, and what you need to do based on your child’s risk level and other indicators of need.
If your child is at risk, you will be given suggestions about what to do next. This will include a referral to the team of specialists at Milestones Therapeutic Center.
Depending on the results, you will find out what sorts of professionals should be asked to look more carefully at your child.
If your child is not at risk and passes the test, but you still have questions or concerns, you can receive immediate feedback from your pediatrician and/or someone from the team of specialists at Milestones Therapeutic Services.
